Wheat Watchers meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Kathy's house.

We've talked the talk, now it's time to walk the walk. I'm letting the blog, newsletter and e-mail do most of the talking and leaving the meetings open for much more DOING!

Important Info. Tuesday

Posted by imawheatwatcher on June 21, 2011

Every Tuesday I will post a document that needs to be copied and put in your 72 hr. kits. Breaking it down week by week will, hopefully, make it easier to get it DONE!

This week we are gathering Immunization Records for each member of your family. When I had my girls they gave me yellow cards to take to every check up.

  1. Two items that are super important: Establish one out-of-state person who will be your family’s contact person. Should you all be somehow separated at the the time of the emergency, you can call this out-of-state person and she can tell the rest of you where each other is. (Separation will probably happen because most families have several kids in different schools, mom and dad may work in different places, so having a common meeting place is usually a wish.)

Secondly, on your cell phone, add a contact named ICE (In case of Emergency). This is a person/relative’s phone number where the Police or Hospital can call to get information on you if you are found unconcious. ICE is a national code and works–especially for those of you who are alone in your homes or go for walks with only the dog.
