    Wheat Watchers meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Kathy's house.

    We've talked the talk, now it's time to walk the walk. I'm letting the blog, newsletter and e-mail do most of the talking and leaving the meetings open for much more DOING!

Food Storage Recipe Monday

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Peanut Butter Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

(Spread on bottom of loaf pan) This will be the topping

2 TBS melted butter

Mix together
1/4 C brown sugar
1/4 C chopped peanuts
1 TBS water
Than sprinkle on the melted butter

In a medium bowl:
Beat 1 egg ( 1 TBS egg powder + 2 TBS water)
then add
1 C brown sugar
1 TBS peanut butter
2 TBS butter or veggie oil
1 C sour milk or buttermilk (1 Cup water + 3 TBS powdered milk mix well, then add 1 TBS vinegar let sit for 5 minutes)

Sift into another bowl
2 C flour (1 C wheat, 1 C AP)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Combine wet and dry mixtures well. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour. Carefully invert pan and remove the pan. Cool.
