Food Storage Recipe Monday

Posted by imawheatwatcher on April 18, 2011

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Easy Spaghetti Sauce

*My husband is a picky eater. He loves to eat pasta. When we first got married I would make a spaghetti sauce that I loved and he would spend the first 10 minutes of the meal picking out everything he didn’t like and telling me all about it. After about 5 years of this I had had enough. I made this simple recipe one night and he won’t let me make anything else. It is lucky for me since it is all shelf stable.

2 (8 oz) cans or 1 (15 oz) can of tomato sauce
1 1/2 – 2 TBS Italian seasoning

Open cans and pour into saucepan. Add seasonings. Warm through.

Enjoy!

What’s so funny is that Clint is picky about SO many things but he LOVEs his mom’s spaghetti sauce recipe with lots of stuff in it. I also have some Pizza n Pasta seasoning from Shirley’s Kitchen I use with tomato sauce (and could probably use tomato powder) for pizza sauce, dipping breadsticks and sometimes in garlic bread too. Keep it Simple Silly!
