Food Storage Recipe Monday

Posted by imawheatwatcher on January 10, 2011

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Easy Pasta Pizza

8 oz. spaghetti, cooked, drained (this is a great use of leftovers)
1 egg, beaten ( 1 TBS powdered egg + 2 TBS water)
1/4 C milk (3/4 T dry powdered milk + 1/4 C water)
1/2 lb. extra-lean ground beef (you can use ground pork, chicken, or turkey too)
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 envelope garlic and herb dressing mix
1 C mozzarella cheese, shredded

Toss spaghetti, egg, and milk in large bowl. Spread evenly in greased 12-inch pan (I use a 9 inch pie plate). Brown mean in medium skillet; drain. Stir in tomato sauce and dressing mix. Spoon over spaghetti crust. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
