    Wheat Watchers meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Kathy's house.

    We've talked the talk, now it's time to walk the walk. I'm letting the blog, newsletter and e-mail do most of the talking and leaving the meetings open for much more DOING!

Food Storage Recipe Monday

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Mexicali Casserole

2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion (onion flakes)
1 garlic clove
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 8 oz tomato sauce
1 8 oz tomato paste
1 can diced green chilis
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. tortilla chips crushed
3/4 lb cheddar cheese, shredded

Brown ground beef, onion, garlic, and drain. Add soup, sauce, paste, chili’s, and salt. Bring to a boil. In a greased 9X13 pan put 1/2 the crushed chips on the bottom. Add meat mixture then add remaining chips. Top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degree for 20 minutes!
