Food Storage Recipe Monday

Posted by imawheatwatcher on September 6, 2010

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Fruit Salad

16 oz whipped topping
1 pkg, any flavor, jello
1 can peaches, drained*
1 can pears, drained*
1 can pineapple, drained*
1 1/2 cups of mini marshmellows

Combine whipped topping and the package of jello (do not prepare the jello). Put all the drained fruit and marshmellows in a bowl. Stir in whipped topping mixture. Once thoroughly combined put in fridge the let it set up. Enjoy!

*You can use any canned fruit you like. I happened to have those in my food storage and wanted to rotate. My in-laws use fruit cocktail and then add another can of cherries. Plus you can add coconut or cottage cheese. Once you learn the method you can add what you like!

This recipe is a take on the Lawrence fruit salad.
