Food Storage Recipe Monday

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Hawaiian Haystacks

1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can to 1 can of water or milk
salt and pepper
1 can of chicken ( or 1 chicken breast, cooked, shredded)
dash of nutmeg

Drain can of chicken. Saute in a hot skillet. Season with salt and pepper and break the big pieces down. Add in soup and water/milk. Stir until combined. Season with salt and pepper and dash of nutmeg. Let it get warm. Serve over hot rice.

    Ohhh… I LOVE Hawaiian Haystacks! It’s great that everyone can make them just the way they like them. You can also add carrots, celery and all sorts of yummy toppings. I also like that if you happen to have some toppings left over, they top a salad really well! Thanks for the awesome recipe! *:D*

    Ok, I have a confession to make. I’ve never actually tasted them…but Lyndi talks about them all the time. Perhaps she should make some then we could allllll know the joy.
    ha ha.

  3. It is so good and easy. It is in my 30 day meal rotation. We have it once a month.
