Wheat Watchers meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Kathy's house.

We've talked the talk, now it's time to walk the walk. I'm letting the blog, newsletter and e-mail do most of the talking and leaving the meetings open for much more DOING!

Item of the Week

Posted by imawheatwatcher on June 3, 2010

Every Thursday I will post an “Item of the Week” to assemble our Preparedness kits. Don’t worry if you have just started and we are half way through the list. This will continue on a loop so we will eventually get back to the beginning. Start when you can, do what you can, and we will become prepared.

Right now we are gathering items for: Office Kits

This office kit is a small one designed to go in a desk drawer.

This week get 2 lightsticks with hook and lanyard. I was able to get mine at Dollar Tree. It came in a pack of two with the hook and lanyards. They had several colors to choose from.

We bought a huge box of lightsticks so we’ve got THAT one down. Just don’t actually have the desk. ha ha
Is it for people who work in an office?

  2. NO, it is small enough that it can be put in a locker at work, or a specific place they keep their personal belongings while they are working. Good idea for the 3 of you that work outside of the home. When you go to your classes you will have your car kit in your car so you will have something. The point is to have an emergency kit in as many places as you can so you will be safe. 😉
