Food Storage Recipe Monday

I thought that it would be a great use of this blog to post food storage friendly recipes every Monday. I have gotten several comments that people would LOVE more recipes. If you have a recipe that you love and would like to share, please email it to me!

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Dough

Remember this recipe?

To that dough add a little more sugar and bump up the eggs to 3 ( 3 TBS powdered eggs + 6 TBS water).

Roll the dough into a long rectangle- probably 16-18 inches in one direction, maybe even 24. The dough should be 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick.

Filling

1 c. packed brown sugar
1-2 T. cinnamon
1/3 c. butter
Cream ingredients together and spread over rolled out dough.

Spread filling on dough all over except a 1/2 inch on the top and bottom. Roll up in a log. Use a knife or dental floss and cute 1/2 inch rolls. Place in greased 9 X 13 pan. 12-18 rolls per pan. Let rise until double. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. They will be down when they look golden brown on top. Immediately drizzle with icing.

Icing

1 lb. powdered sugar
1 cube melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
milk to bring to desired consistency. You want it to be on the thick side because it will melt as it is spread on the hot rolls.
