Wheat Watchers

Preparedness and Planning Group

  • Get it Together

Wheat Watchers meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Kathy's house.

We've talked the talk, now it's time to walk the walk. I'm letting the blog, newsletter and e-mail do most of the talking and leaving the meetings open for much more DOING!

My link list has grown and I thought I would list a few of my true favorites for you to check out. In the future, I will post them as I find them so you can benefit too!

BLOGS
Safely Gathered In – Just the name of this blog gives me peaceful thoughts. Weekly posts about gathering items for 72 hour kits, How-to series, long and short term storage ideas.
Prepared LDS Family – Many practical and helpful tips & tricks to help you get prepared with food storage and emergency supplies. Good ideas for organizing too!

FOOD STORAGE
Everyday Food Storage – Delicious recipes USING YOUR FOOD STORAGE BASICS. How-to videos, master mix recipes and food photos that make your mouth water.  Helps you see that your really CAN cook with your flour, sugar, milk and MORE!

Food Storage Made Easy – A great place to start.  Their site features 10 baby steps to follow and offers free printable forms for you to use too!
Alpine Food Storage -Great quality, fair prices, some hard to source and unique bulk food products.  Read HERE to learn how to place an order (you don’t need to wait for a group order!)

EMERGENCY PREP
bereadyutah.com – Links and check lists to help “ready your Utah family.”  Also, read what Utah is doing to prepare our state for disaster, emergencies and pandemic outbreaks.
beprepared.com – Emergency Essentials is truly one stop shopping for almost any preparedness need.  There are also informative articles, recipes and resources to aid your preparation efforts.  Their food storage products are good quality but can often be found at a lower cost elsewhere (although they do offer great sales and group specials each month!) but EE is very competitive on other emergency preparedness products.

Check some of these out today!
