Wheat Watchers will be on a break for awhile. Things need to be readjusted and thought about. I hope to return soon with a new and improved WW. Thanks for all the love and support.

Earthquake Info.
Posted by imawheatwatcher on April 16, 2012
Tomorrow is the Great Utah Shake Out. Emergency Essentials put together a post about different areas or things you might be doing when an earthquake hits. It is worth a read. Here is the link… Great Utah Shake Out .
Also tomorrow night, April 17th, is our April Wheat Watchers meeting. It starts at 7 pm and Lisa R. will be showing us how to make our own spice mixes. That way we can control the ingredients and the salt in our everyday cooking.

Inspirational Sunday
Posted by imawheatwatcher on April 15, 2012
”Brothers and sisters, there are going to be times in our lives when someone else gets an unexpected blessing or receives some special recognition. May I plead with us not to be hurt—and certainly not to feel envious—when good fortune comes to another person? We are not diminished when someone else is added upon. We are not in a race against each other to see who is the wealthiest or the most talented or the most beautiful or even the most blessed. The race we are really in is the race against sin, and surely envy is one of the most universal of those.”
–Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

”Seek heavenly guidance one day at a time. Life by the yard is hard; by the inch — it’s a cinch. Each of us can be true for just one day — and then one more, and then one more after that, until we’ve lived a lifetime guided by the Spirit, a lifetime close to the Lord, a lifetime of good deeds and righteousness.”
-President Thomas S. Monson

Item of the Week
Posted by imawheatwatcher on March 29, 2012
Every Thursday I will post an “Item of the Week” to assemble our Preparedness kits. Don’t worry if you have just started and we are half way through the list. This will continue on a loop so we will eventually get back to the beginning. Start when you can, do what you can, and we will become prepared.
Right now we are gathering items for: Food for 72 hr. kits
This week we are gathering 3 fruit rolls or fruit leather. Real fruit leather is preferable to Fruit Roll-Ups, but either would work.
*Each quantity is for EVERY food kit you are making.

Inspirational Sunday

“I should like to address a few remarks to those who ask, ‘Do I share with my neighbors who have not followed the counsel? And what about the nonmembers who do not have a year’s supply? Do we have to share with them?’ No, we don’t have to share—we get to share! Let us not be concerned about silly thoughts of whether we would share or not. Of course we would share! What would Jesus do? I could not possibly eat food and see my neighbors starving. And if you starve after sharing, ‘greater love hath no man than this …’ (John 15:13.)
